About
Alexa Kanarowski’s photography concerns questions of memory and the passage of time. Her practice is also involved in the process of making. Rules, rituals, frameworks, and guidelines— whether found or constructed— play largely into the time, place, and context in which she chooses to create photos. Her work is often presented in series, through installation, projection, book form, etc. The photo series as form is a congruous vehicle, allowing a temporal viewing experience to mirror the temporal processes that she investigates in each picture.
Located in Western New York, Kanarowski has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Cornell University.
